Weird and wonderful unique worlds appear at all strata in the forest. At Sleeping Giant Provincial park, a decaying black spruce trunk hosts a unique life form. Bright, bubblegum pink bubbles of wolf’s milk slime mould (Lycogala epidendrum), a myxogastrid amoeba speckle the surface.
