The bark of the crack willow, Salix fragilis, appears comically oversized.  The deep, widely spaced crevices within the bark surface create a perfect environment for shade and humidity loving mosses and bryophytes to flourish.

Framed in commercially sourced Salix spp. (likely Salix fragilis) wood.
